- Choose a good quality lean cut of steak.
- Before cooking the steak bring it to room temperature.
- Heat the frypan or barbeque before adding the steak.

- Rare – Cook a 2cm thick steak for 2-3 minutes each side. Press with tongs will feel soft
- Medium – Cook a 2cm thick steak for 4 minutes each side. Press with tongs will feel a little firmer.
- Well Done – Cook a 2 cm thick steak for 5-6 minutes each side. Press with tongs will feel soft will feel very firm.
Once the steak is cooked to your liking then place on a plate and cover with foil and let rest for about 5-10 minutes.
