How to Cook a Perfect Steak

  1. Choose a good quality lean cut of  steak.
  2. Before cooking the steak bring it to room temperature.
  3. Heat the frypan or barbeque before adding the steak.
    • Rare – Cook a 2cm thick steak for 2-3 minutes each side. Press with tongs will feel soft
    • Medium – Cook a 2cm thick steak for 4 minutes each side. Press with tongs will feel a little firmer.
    • Well Done – Cook a 2 cm thick steak for 5-6 minutes each side. Press with tongs will feel soft will feel very firm.

Once the steak is cooked to your liking then place on a plate and cover with foil and let rest for about 5-10 minutes.
